Eliza Seminario, MFTi
You may understand your patterns intellectually yet still feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in the same relationship dynamics. Many people find that even when they understand what is happening, something deeper in their emotional or nervous system responses continues to pull them back into the same cycles. Perhaps you notice the same arguments repeating, carry the weight of past experiences, or feel disconnected in ways that are difficult to explain. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what is happening beneath the surface so new patterns and possibilities can emerge.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in a systemic perspective while also integrating somatic awareness and an understanding of the nervous system. In our work together, we explore how life experiences, relationships, and the ways our bodies respond to stress shape patterns in how we relate to ourselves and others. We may also look at how early experiences with caregivers influence how safe we feel in relationships and how we see ourselves. I take a holistic approach that recognizes the connection between body, mind, and spirit, supporting people as they work through the effects of trauma and begin to understand and shift patterns that show up in their relationships. As deeper awareness and self-connection develop, many people begin to experience more authentic and meaningful connections with others.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), a body-based approach that supports trauma healing through greater awareness of the nervous system. I work with adults navigating the effects of trauma, as well as couples experiencing relationship patterns that feel difficult to change. Together, we focus on developing greater awareness, clarity, and hope for new possibilities.
Outside the therapy room, I value spending time in environments and practices that support personal growth and well-being. These experiences continue to shape my understanding of healing as a process that supports greater balance and connection.
