Sarah Haycock, ACMHC
I believe there is a purpose in everything that we do and in everything that happens to us. “As soon as we are able to find meaning in suffering, then the suffering is over.” A big part of my approach is helping you find peace in the midst of the suffering. A lot of the time we cannot change our surroundings or the world around us but we can find peace in ourselves and change within. Healing is a personal journey that can be extremely painful. My main focus is walking with you as you feel what you need to feel and to find meaning to help you move forward.
There are no shortcuts to healing. I have seen past relationships and painful events affect self-worth, cause addictions, and make it seem impossible to have hope. I strive to create a safe environment in which you can feel, process, and heal. The answers you are searching for are inside you and I believe that in order to find them, safety needs to be felt.
My goal as a counselor is to help you align your physical body with your true emotional/spiritual self – allowing your true self to make the decisions, and then to act on those decisions to feel the worth that we all seek. Ultimately, my job is to help you find you. I believe that nobody should feel alone and that there is hope to find peace within.
