Dr. Scott Petersen, DBH, LMFT

Dr. Scott Petersen has provided behavioral health therapy since 1999. He has a Doctorate of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He has provided therapy for 25 years and clinical supervision for over 20 years. His clinical competencies include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Marital Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Solution-Focused, and Systems Theory.
Dr. Petersen is passionate about working with adult individuals and couples. Marital therapy and couples counseling are areas of focus. He works with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use disorders, those struggling with religious/faith, betrayal, and relationship issues.
