FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY

Natalie House, CMHCi

I am entering my final year in the Master’s in Counseling program at Rocky Mountain University and I am excited to start my internship at Arcadia in September! I am passionate about helping clients create lives of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment.

My counseling orientation is existential, person-centered, trauma-informed, and multicultural. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and integrate approaches tailored to each client’s needs. I have particular interest in working with clients navigating grief and loss, life transitions, faith transitions, perfectionism, career and workplace stress, and relationship or family challenges—including estrangement. I also bring insight into the unique dynamics faced by first responders and their families. I am interested in helping kids learn how to regulate their emotions and provide them with skills that will help them throughout their lives.

In addition to my counseling training, I bring decades of experience mentoring others in leadership and career development, as well as personal perspective as a mom, caregiver, someone who has experienced divorce and remarriage, and someone who has navigated a faith transition and both LDS and non-LDS community relationships. These experiences help me connect with a wide range of clients, including kids and teens managing stress, anxiety, and emotions, and adults managing all of those things along with work-life balance, aging, caregiving, retirement, and end-of-life concerns.
