Alan Dressler, LMFT

Asking for help can feel difficult, but it isn’t overreacting to want peace, clarity, and connection. Our ways of coping work—until they don’t. When the strategies we rely on to manage stress, grief, or life’s pressures stop serving us, we can be left feeling overwhelmed or helpless. I understand that for many, there can be stigma in seeking counseling. I offer a space that feels confidential, safe, and free of judgment. Whether you’re facing trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, or relationship challenges—including parenting—I can help you build tools for healing and create a path forward grounded in hope and purpose.

My path to therapy began 15 years ago in law enforcement, where I supported individuals and families in crisis. That work led me to pursue a master’s degree in counseling, where I have helped people through death, grief, divorce, marriage, parenting, and family violence. With this experience, I guide clients toward balance, meaning, and authentic connection.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and camping with my wife and our little dog. In the winter, I love ice fishing with friends. I believe there is always light—and I can help you find it, even in the middle of your storm.
