Ryan Engar, LCSW

How to choose the right therapist? Consider asking yourself these questions: What do I need to feel more hope and motivation in my life? Can my relationship be “fixed”, or should we move on? Do I feel like I don’t quite fit in and nobody understands me? How do I break free from making the same decisions over and over? Do I wish I had someone to talk to about thoughts, feelings, and behavior I don’t really want anyone to know about?

For 15 years I have helped individuals and couples explore the answers to these questions and a whole lot more. I would describe myself as an intuitive psychotherapist encouraging self-awareness including body, mind, and soul. Once we recognize what is causing our emotional, physical, and psychological experiences in life, our next steps will provide relief.

Getting things “off your chest” can create an increase in wellbeing due to feeling heard, accepted, and guided. When I am not in the office you will find me with my daughters at a dance or cheer competition, golfing barefoot with my sons, enjoying a sunrise after feeding my cat (of course), or throwing a ball for my husky and fetching it myself!
