Daniel Hilton, LMFT
Life is full of testing experiences that confuse our path, weigh down our hearts, and shake our sense of direction. Challenges like anxiety and depression, addiction, struggles in parenting, or conflict in relationships are hard – but often the worst part is feeling alone in the struggle. Seeking strength and healing from others is a deeply human response, yet vulnerability can feel risky. When you need acceptance for where you are, perspective for where you want to go, and the accountability to make it there, I can help. With a background in marriage and family therapy, I specialize in helping others stabilize their emotions, find support, and restore hope for the future.
My path into counseling began with my own broken-heart moments; growing up around severe mental illness, addiction, suicide, and divorce in my family of origin. After more than five years of clinical experience with individuals, couples, and families, I am passionate about rebuilding bonds of attachment, especially after the devastation of addiction such as internet pornography and sex addiction. I am also trained in EMDR and work with adults healing from trauma, helping them process painful experiences and reclaim peace in their lives.
Therapy is a place to set your aim and prepare for the adventure of your life. In the haven of the therapy room, you can find meaning in the struggle and unlock strategies to rise above it. Drawing from the latest integrated models of therapy (including attachment and polyvagal theory, and internal family systems), you can better understand yourself, your relationships, and the path forward on your adventure.
