For children up to age 12 who are anxious, acting out, grieving, adjusting to a change at home, or struggling at school. Each of our Lehi, Lindon and Sandy clinics has a dedicated play therapy room, and our clinicians are trained to work with kids and their parents.

A parent-only first visit to hear the history, then sessions with your child, with regular parent check-ins. Younger children work through play in the clinic’s play therapy room; older children through talk and activities.
Play therapy, parent coaching, CBT adapted for children.
Child therapy is covered like any outpatient visit on most plans. We check your benefits before the first visit and tell you the cost up front. Self-pay is $175 for the first session and $165 for each session after that.
What age do you start?
It depends on the clinician. Each clinician’s profile lists the ages they see. Call us if you are not sure your child is ready; a parent-only visit is a good first step.
Do parents sit in?
For the first visit, yes. After that it depends on age and goals, and your clinician will tell you the plan.
What should I tell my child?
That they are going to meet someone whose job is helping kids with big feelings, and that there are toys.
