 Lauren Christensen, LCMHC

Asking for help is tough whether it is for you or someone you love, but it can be worth it. I have been a therapist for over 10 + years, and hope I can help you find some relief. I specialize in all types of traumas, both “Little t” and “Big T” traumas (i.e. family or origins, bullying, chronic health, divorce, adjustment issues, life change, to all types of abuse and harm), PTSD, depression, addiction, and anxiety. I work with individuals, families, couples, the LGTBQIA+ community, first responders/military, and ages 4-76+ years old. As your therapist, we can do work together to grow and heal.

After graduation I honed in on all types of trauma modalities. Through Accelerated Resolution Therapy and EMDR I have learned how to help my clients overcome their life challenges/trauma. Trauma can be anything, and it can start from everything. The great news is you are now asking for help. I also use TF-CBT, play therapy, DBT, CBT, MI to help overcome.

After the death of four separate siblings, I decided to become a therapist to help others heal from trauma and find hope. In the Disney cartoon movie, The Lion King Rafiki says, “Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.”
