Michelle Peters, CMHC

Life can be a lot sometimes. Challenges often come fast, and it’s easy to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or even alone. Reaching out for help isn’t always easy—but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether you’re facing stress, anxiety, sadness, trauma, or life’s unexpected twists, I’m here to help you sort through it and move toward real, lasting change. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about rediscovering your authentic self and building a life that feels more balanced, empowered, and truly yours.

My approach centers on balance. Together, we’ll explore how to bring more of it into your daily life—mentally, emotionally, and practically. We’ll look at what’s working, what’s not, and how your patterns, experiences, and beliefs can shift to support greater clarity and connection. I bring warmth, honesty, and a sense of humor to the process, and there may be sessions where we laugh, cry—maybe both—as you discover tools and reconnect with strengths already within you.

I began my career as a caregiver for adults with autism and have worked in both school and mental health settings. I’m also a mom to four daughters, and my husband of over 20 years and I love supporting them through the ups and downs of adolescence and young adulthood—with plenty of lessons learned and dance parties along the way. Outside of work, you’ll often find me in nature, playing with my dog, crafting, or in my garden—finding my own balance, one day at a time.
